Cullowhee

Notes: A Tennessee political canvaser’s blog post after working Cullowhee for the Obama campaign: “It was great!  Wonderful volunteers in North Carolina and other great volunteers from Alabama and Chattanooga.  Cullowhee was beautiful, but houses were so spread out and buried in mountain woods on steep, narrow roads. Nobody likes to have numbers on the houses and they love dogs!  But, we met many supporters and almost everyone was polite, no matter what their politics. We were in on a conference call from Senator Obama. He was still on the plane but he called to praise and encourage the North Carolina staff and volunteers. I am thinking about going again next weekend, even though I swore I was going to stay home.”
